If any one song from their vast back catalogue perfectly encapsulates Primal Scream’s rock’n’roll side then it’s got to be ‘Rocks’.
It’s fitting, then, that the video for what was then their biggest hit is a riot of colour and sheer, unabashed enthusiasm.
You think you can sit still through this? Forget about it! Not least when you have a made-up Bobby Gillespie at his hip-swivelling best and flanked on either side by strutting guitarists Andrew Innes and Robert Young.
Chuck in what looks like the absolute mother of all parties and you’ve got the perfect visual accompaniment for one of the best rock’n’roll songs of the last 30 years.
